BRATTLEBORO, VT — The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) will be hosting a winter BDCC Members Meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 27 at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center on Vernon Road.
Guest speakers will include Ralph Meima, director of the new MBA Program in Managing for Sustainability at the Marlboro College Graduate Center, and Kristin McLaughlin, chief operating officer and senior vice president at World Learning, Inc., who will talk about new strategies and programs at their schools.
According to BDCC Executive Director Jeffrey Lewis, “Both schools are seeking deeper involvement in Brattleboro. They also represent the creation of intellectual capital in our area that makes us more attractive to creative people, more competitive, and far more interesting.”
Also speaking will be Chris Grotke and Alex Gyori of the pre-steering committee for a Brattleboro economic vitality project that aims to create a more unified vision of the community’s shared future.
The agenda will also include a report by Lewis on BDCC activities over the past few months and a preview of the next several months' focus, and a discussion by BDCC Vice President Peter Van Oot about the emerging strategic direction for BDCC itself.
